Sav, Boo thang, you know I love your Hot Wheelzzz! I wanted to come up with something really clever to ask you, but I know you so well that it is hard to try and discern anything new or different. I already knew that you hated chocolate and people, but I do not yet know all of your nieces names, so bring on the cuteness would you please? Also, you love candy--Starbursts and Gobstoppers--so does that mean that you love Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, too? Oompa loompa doompity doo, I've got a puzzle for you. What do you get when you mix baking soda and water? VOLCANOES.
Han! I'll go from oldest to youngest with the girls: Katelyn Leigh (12), Blaikley Claire (4), and Lyla Rose (1). Their names are almost as cute as they are! Girl, I know all of the Oompa Loompa dances and I would be happy to show you!
Hey, Savannah! Your autobiography was so entertaining to read! My question for you is, if you don't like chocolate, why do you enjoy red velvet cupcakes? Isn't red velvet cake essentially devil's food cake with red food coloring? Also, I totally get the even number thing; I can't even buy an odd number of things at the store. It's weird. I also understand the tall thing. I'm 5'11 and growing up I was constantly asked, "Do you play basketball?" (The answer to that is "no" by the way.)
Hi, Bri! I know, that is a little weird. I guess I should have said "I don't really like chocolate," simply because I don't dislike all chocolate, just most of it. I don't like normal chocolate cake, icing, or ice cream. I also definitely cannot eat a Hershey's chocolate bar plain. I can make few exceptions, however, for red velvet and Snickers (but not all the time). I played basketball when I was younger, but quit because I was too short back then! Ironic, now, but I also was begged to play volleyball in high school in hopes that I would be a good hitter with my height; they were wrong. This girl has no "ups;" I cannot jump to save my life, especially not jump and hit at the same time.
Hey Savannah, I enjoyed getting to know you in our class together and at the YES program, and even more about you in your bio! I admire your outgoing personality and think that will be a great tool for you when teaching. I wouldn't consider myself a sports fanatic, but I have always enjoyed playing a lot of different sports and playing softball in high school. Do you think you will do any coaching when you start teaching? If so, what sport would you want to coach?
Hey Casey! Seminar and Baldwin were both so fun with you! Thank you! I would absolutely love to coach sports! I don't know which; I played soccer all four years of high school and also cheered, so I feel as if one of those would best suit me because they are the most recent. I did coach two little girls cheerleading teams as well as one of my nieces in her first year of softball too, thus I have a little background in coaching.
Hey Savannah! I really enjoyed your bio and I think we will get along really well (I'm super sassy too). I also love movies and was wondering which ones are your favorites?
I'm happy we can relate! I love the Great Gatsby, Pride & Prejudice, and Pitch Perfect (the first two because I love the books also)! I'm also a huge fan of Burlesque!
Hey, Savannah! Your bio was super entertaining, and I'm really looking forward to getting to know you better during the next year! Being a picky eater, what is your favorite food?
I like to say that my favorite food is pizza, however I don't like pizza sauce or any type of red sauce/tomato based sauce. I eat a lot of chicken fingers and mac & cheese!
Hello new best friend (I don't want to infringe on other "bff's" or seem as a possible threat. I too, can often not be taken seriously, it can be a minor/major issue until people get to know me. I'm constantly biting my tongue most of the time. The kicker was the Patriots fan! Wow! Never met another one down here! My Dad raised me on the Pats, so I'm a little obsessed as well. Besides Brady and Gronk, who is your favorite Pat?
I'm glad I'm not alone! I love my pats! I love Julian Edleman, Chandler Jones, and I loved Aqib Talib until we let him to in free agency and he went to Denver.
Sav your bio defintiely made me chuckle. You sounded a lot more harsh than you actually are haha. I didn't know that about chocolate, pretty interesting. Also, you made me sound awful and negative about YES after reading yours, stay there for three years and then come back to me! After having classes with you how do you think your teaching style will be? more like Simon, Palmer or Sirmans?
Thank you, I just wanted to make sure I didn't offend anyone with jokes, haha. I understand, YES was definitely so stressful at times and I head that it was a lot more disorganized in the years before I started, you didn't sound negative! I would hope to be a mixture of Sirmans and Simon (Palmer is too um, monotoned for my taste); I would like to be laid back like Sirmans but also so informative like Katie. I think they suited their areas of expertise really well for their personalities and teaching styles.
Hey Savannah! That's funny you say you have a problem with nail polish, I am the exact same way...I can't ever keep it on! On another note, since you have older siblings, what is your favorite part about being the youngest child? I am the oldest and have always wondered what it would be like to have older siblings to look up to.
I'm honestly picking off my nail polish as I type, haha. My sister and I were always really close growing up because we were so close in age, and I guess to say that helped in making her into someone I looked up to. She had already taken the classes I had or experienced the things I was about to experience so she was really able to help me and be a guiding figure. I'm also really spoiled by my daddy because I'm the youngest, thus daddy's little girl. -Let me also note that I am my moms least favorite for that exact reason (:
Hey Savannah, Let me just say that I loved your writing style. It flows really well and I was able visualize most of what you were saying about your childhood (with you and your sister playing). What is one of your favorite Shakespeare plays and why?
